Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University has revised its advertisement “Admission to the Postgraduate Courses for the academic year 2018-19”

As per the new advertisement, a candidate is eligible to apply for three courses instead of two, as advertised earlier. The last date for submitting application is 25th June.

Entrance examination will be held on 7th July from 8.30AM onwards at centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Eranamkulam, Thrissur, Tirur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur. The 90 minutes examinations will include 20% objective type questions and 80% requiring descriptive answers.

Admission will start on 30th July. A total of 10 students will be admitted to each course. The minimum qualification required to apply is basic degree in any subject The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31st July. For SC/ST candidates and differently abled candidates age limit in 30 years.

Candidates are required to write separate tests for each course. Those applying for Creative Writing Course are required to write a Literary work ( Story, Poetry(2), Review, Note of appreciation) of not more than 5 pages, and submit it along with the answer script. Maximum marks awarded for this work will not be more than 20. Candidates are prohibited from writing their names on the literary work they have written. Candidates who have submitted applications in response to the 4th June advertisement are required to submit new application as per this new advertisement.

Candidate may submit applications online/offline,  Fee per course is 350 Rupees. A person paying 700 Rupees as fee is eligible to write for three courses. Fee for SC/ST and differently abled candidates is 150 Rupees.

Candidates are advised to pay the fee amount in to the University’s Account in the Tirur Branch of the State Bank of India  (Account No: 32709117532). UTR/ Journal Number details should be entered in the application form.

Application form is available  from the website of the University (http://malayalamuniversity.edu.in/ml/). When applying online, candidates are required to submit scanned copy of photograph and signature. When applying offline, the fee amount should be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, Tirur.
