Two day Workshop in Thread Decoration Art
A two day workshop in the art of thread decoration art under the leadership of the world famous artist in this field Sri.Babu Kolappally was organised for the students of Malayalam University. As part of the workshop an exhibition acquainting the students with the techniques of thread decoration also was arranged. Vice Chancellor Sri.K.Jayakumar inaugurated the workshop on February 2, 2017 at the Rangasala. Sri. Babu, Design Director and Trainer in a British Company in Egypt made a speech on the art of thread decoration. It was under the auspices of the Department of Cultural Heritage Studies that the workshop was arranged.
In the valedictory function of the workshop Registrar in charge Dr. K.M.Bharathan presented memento to Sri Babu Kolappally, Dr. G.Sajina and Sri.K.V.Sasi, Asst. Professors spoke on the occasion. The students explained their experiences in the workshop.
