‘Koodiyattam’ has no existence without Malayalam-says Dr. Hake Oberline
Dr. Hake Oberlin, Professor, Department of Indology, Tubingen University, Germany opined that koodiyattam has no existence in the absence of Malayalam. And hence there are research opportunities galore for the students of Malayalam University. Professor Oberlin is a former researcher in koodiyattam from Kerala Kalamandalam. She was giving a talk at Malayalam University on ‘The representation of Malayalam and Samscrit in Koodiyattam’ as part of the erudite scholar in residence lecture series sponsored by Kerala state higher education council. Professor Oberlin interacted with the research students after the talk at Chithrasala. Dr. M Sreenathan and Dr. Satheesh Palanki also talked in the function.
