The three-day seminar on different language ability concluded at Malayalam Sarvakalasala. Learning Disability camp conducted as part of the seminar attracted 125 children. Experts from Institute for Communicative and Cognitive Neurosciences conducted the camp.
The concluding session was inaugurated by Dr. M. Sreenathan, head, department of linguistics. The children who attended the camp would be given continued treatment and remedial training for disability, he said. Dr N. Sreedevi, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, was the chief guest at the function. Dr. C. Seythalavi, Dr Smitha K. Nair and Dr P. Soumya also spoke.
In the pre-lunch session on “Learning disability detection and solutions”, papers were presented by Sara Rani, clinical psychologist, Dr M.A. Marykkutty and Nisha (ICONS).
