As part of the three-day Media Seminar organized by the department of media studies, Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University, photos captured in mobile phones and cameras by ten students were exhibited which attracted the onlookers. The photo exhibition has been named the geographies of the seen. They capture the intense and tranquil moments of life, the innocence of childhood, color –packed depictions of Theyyam , thereby turning the exhibition itself into a canvas capturing the diabolic of life itself.
The exhibition attempts to capture the ultimate revival of life in this fast paced and polyphonic age and at the same time to represent the souls left voiceless. The photos are exhibited in the gallery named comrade artistically arranged on the walls and corridors of the university academic block. The photos are incorporated into the background of trees with their routes and branches spread as leaves and flowers, indicating the organic nature which is the source of life. The exhibition paves way for novel ideological interpretations beyond the binaries of black and white. It included photos by students such as K Pranav, Anoop Zacharia, Githin Raj, Mahesh Madhu, Chris and Athulya.
