Archana C A, research scholar in the department of media studies, Malayalam Univerity  bags first prize in the essay competition conducted in memory of  V G Vijayan, the former state vice president of newspaper employees union and well known journalist hailing from Wayanad . The prize including a memento and a cash award worth Rs 10000 will be endowed on the 19th of this month.
