The School of Environmental Studies at Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University is dedicated to fostering an in-depth understanding of environmental issues and developing sustainable solutions through education and research. This unique interdisciplinary program is jointly offered by the School of Environmental Studies and the School of Development Studies. It integrates environmental science with economic development, equipping students to address environmental challenges from a socio-economic perspective. The program also prepares students for advanced studies, research, and diverse careers in environmental and economic sectors.
Eligibility: Plus two
M.A. Environmental Studies (10 Seats)
A comprehensive program that delves into both the theoretical and practical dimensions of environmental conservation, policy-making, and sustainable development. It also explores the social aspects of environmental issues, highlighting the roles of government and non-governmental organizations in addressing these challenges.
Eligibility: Any degree
M.Sc. Environmental Studies (10 Seats):
This advanced program emphasizes both theoretical and practical aspects of environmental management, including climate change, policy-making, and sustainable development. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective environmental management and policy development.
Eligibility: Any degree with plus two science
Ph.D. Environmental Studies
A rigorous research-oriented program aimed at producing original contributions to the field of environmental studies. The program focuses on key areas such as sustainability, climate change, and conservation, preparing scholars for leadership roles in academia, research, and policy-making.
Eligibility: M.Sc./M.A. in Environmental Studies/ Environmental Sciences or M. Tech Environmental Engineering
