Malayalam University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UGC’s INFLIBNET centre to collect the dissertations and theses of research students. Dr. T Anithakumary , registrar in charge signed the MoU in the presence of the INFLIBNET representative Manoj Kumar. Research scholars can upload their dissertations on Shodhganga/Shodhgangotri directly or via the university by using INFLIBNET Library consultant P Jayaraj was also present at the function.

Mr. Manoj Kumar (scientist, INFLIBNET (UGC)) conducted a two -hour workshop on plagiarism in academic writing and how to prevent it. He said that research scholars should take note of these things while they are writing their dissertation itself. MU is the seventh of universities in Kerala which has come to an MoU with INFLIBNET. He also remarked that attempts are still in the early stage to put an end to plagiarism in Malayalam.
