Malayalam Wikipedia study camp
The Department of History organized one day Malayalam Wikipedia study camp for the students on 3 July 2017. The inaugural function starts with the welcome address of Dr. Manjusha R Varma, Assistant Professor, Department of History. The function was presided over by Prof. M R RaghavaVarier, Head of the Department, Department of History. The program was inaugurated by K. Jayakumar, the Vice Chancellor, Malayalam University. In his presidential address Dr. M R RaghavaVarier advocated the students to change the methods of acquiring knowledge. “Now we get access to any knowledge systems in one touch” he said. After inaugurating the program Vice chancellor pointed out the importance of Wikipedia. Kamaruddin, second M.A student introduced the experts, who came to train the students in the function. Dr. Srija L.G, Assistant professor, Department of History extended the vote of thanks. Afternoon the training program started under the leadership of IrfanEbrahimSeit and Akbar Ali Charangavu. More than fourty students and teachers participated.
