As one of the youngest departments of Sociology in the State of Kerala, Sociology at Malayalam University has number of innovative courses as part of our Masters Level programme . The theoretical courses of Sociology are designed strictly following the syllabus and teaching pattern of other premier universities in the country.

Apart from the core papers, a good number of courses are specially designed to meet the larger vision of the University i.e. to promote serious research on people and society of Kerala. Our students go on to apply their sociological training in a broad range of careers, while making amazing contributions to their communities.
