Darsini international film festival organized by Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University will take off on 18th July 2018. The two day long festival will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor. Renowned film director Sri. P. P. Sudevan will be the chief guest of the occasion. His acclaimed film akatho puratho will be screened as the inaugural film. Around 35 movies will be screened in three categories namely world movies, travel movies and retrospectives.

apart from movies which were awarded in the last couple of years, the movies of Emir Kousterica will be included in the ‘retrospectives’ section. A special session will be on world movies. Well known film maker Priyanandanan will inaugurate the valedictory session. Sanju Surendran’s Aedan will be screened as the closing film.
